In 2008, lawyer John Kai Lassen founded Rockwick Capital, LLC, where he holds the position of managing director and CEO. As a lawyer based in Delaware, Kai Lassen is actively involved in many community organizations. Among his community engagement activities, Attorney Lassen serves on the Delaware Nature Society’s conservancy committee.

Once a year, the Delaware Nature Society holds its Native Plant Sale at Coverdale Farm Preserve in Greenville, Delaware. Staffed by volunteers, the sale offers over 300 varieties of common and unique plants indigenous to the area and appropriate for a mix of growing conditions. Many of the species available will be appealing to pollinators, such as butterflies, bees, and birds, for those interested in creating a specialty garden.

Additionally, the Native Plant Sale will offer an assortment of plants from the Mt. Cuba Center, a nearby public garden and nature conservation center that focuses on growing native plants in their natural habitat.

Scheduled for May 5-8, the 2016 sale is open to members only on Thursday and Friday, while the general public can shop on Saturday and Sunday. For more information, visit
